Two-pin Breakout Test Lead

This item is designed and manufactured by Auto-Solve and enables easy connection when testing automotive components with a standard two-pin junior timer connector plug.

One end of the lead has two 4mm banana sockets suitable for connection to an engine analysers or oscilloscope equipment. The other ends of the lead have the male and female two-pin junior time plugs. The female plug also employees a quick release mechanism.

AS-OS-02
Two pin break out lead for an oscilloscope
Approximate length 100cms

Typical applications are: multi-point injectors, some Lucas / Rover SPI injectors, crankshaft position sensors (inductive), camshaft position sensors (inductive), coolant temperature sensors, knock sensors, some Vauxhall ignition coils, some Austin Rover ignition amplifiers, pulse air solenoid valves, Bosch K-Jetronic thermo-timer switches, cold start injectors and warm up regulators, to name but a few.
Please note these are only examples - wiring plugs will vary from manufacture to manufacture, and with the model and age of the vehicle.

The user will have to take care of polarity when checking components. The test lead ends are intentional both coloured black with blue and yellow reference bands. It is suggested that if the scope requires an earth this connection is made to the vehicle and the other oscilloscope cable end is used on either side of the test lead. It is not recommended that both test lead terminals and both oscilloscope leads are connected together, unless the user is sure this will have no detrimental effect on either the vehicle or the equipment being used.

The lead also has provision for inserting a low amperage current clamp.
